The primary goal of the competition is to identify the most significant projects involving the deployment of solutions on the "1C:Enterprise 8" platform, as well as the companies that have achieved outstanding success in digitalization. The submitted projects were evaluated by a professional jury composed of executives from major enterprises and industry associations. The key evaluation criteria included scale, deadlines, labor costs, quality of work, and economic impact of the implementation, uniqueness, and innovation.
The project ”ERP System Import Substitution on the ‘1C’ Platform for Pulkovo Airport” won in the "Best Migration to 1C" category. Replacing the foreign system with a domestic solution was completed in a record time for the industry — within just one year. The implementation covered a wide range of functional subsystems, including financial management, contract management, real estate, fleet management, aviation billing, logistics, and EAM.
Alexander Tolgsky, Managing Partner for Transport and Construction at IBS: “The project by IBS and Pulkovo Airport is a prime example of successfully migrating critical systems of one of Russia’s largest aviation hubs to domestic software. The ERP system deployment on the '1C' platform marks the final step toward the airport's complete technological independence and establishes a foundation for the further development of its corporate infrastructure. For IBS, this project is particularly significant because, based on its outcomes, we agreed on the joint promotion of the created solution to other airports in the Russian Federation as an industry blueprint. This template includes MRO management powered by our proprietary solution, which has been adapted to meet the specific equipment requirements of various airport departments.”
IBS projects were also named best in two functional areas: "Master Data Management (MDM)" and "Cloud Deployment in the Public Sector."
The project by IBS for VK Group, titled ”Developing Automated Accounting and Treasury Systems Based on ‘1C: Corporate Performance Management’ and ‘1C: MDM’ Solutions”, was recognized in the first category. It took just nine months from the project's kickoff to the launch of the systems into pilot operation. To meet such tight deadlines for a project of this scale, the IBS and VK teams had to divide the future solution's functionality into several development and deployment phases, subsequently maintaining a methodical focus on accelerated design, implementation, and testing. Process optimization was carried out concurrently with the migration to the domestic solution.
Evgeny Antropov, Head of MDM at IBS: “The uniqueness of our project for VK lies in the fact that the '1C:MDM' system was launched simultaneously with other solutions, including '1C:CPM', Directum, and Foresight. Moreover, at the start of the project, the company had neither a dedicated MDM team nor an approved methodology. The IBS team audited the master data directories involved in the project, built an integration core within MDM, and connected 25 systems across 50 data streams — all within nine months before launching into pilot operation. VK’s experience proves that MDM implementation can and should be executed in parallel with the deployment of the ERP core itself. Without centralized master data management, discrepancies between systems are inevitable.”
The project by IBS and RZD-Technologies won in the second category: ”Implementing a Unified Solution for Personnel Records and Payroll at RZD-Medicine Based on ‘1C: HRM CORP’ and the ‘1C: Fresh Cloud Subsystem’.” The project spanned 69 institutions within the RZD-Medicine network, covering over 60,000 employees distributed across Russia from Kaliningrad to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The total number of automated workstations exceeded 5,000. More than 25 accounting processes, 340 types of earnings and deductions, over 100 order forms, more than 250 forms of management and corporate reporting, and over 60 master data directories were centralized and standardized.
Sergey Sotnikov, Director of the Intellectual and Human Capital Department at IBS: “This project is important not only for the healthcare industry but also for any large enterprise facing the choice of a platform for import substitution. The project's outcomes and its victory in the competition demonstrate that deploying an end-to-end solution based on '1C' is entirely feasible for a company with specific industry processes and a vast geographic footprint — doing so without any compromise in functionality, performance, or efficiency, and strictly on schedule.”
The award ceremony for the "1C: Project of the Year" winners will take place on November 26 as part of the "1C:ERP" Business Forum.
