IBS invests RUB 100 million in the Skolkovo Ventures Fund

Company joins Skolkovo Venture Fund - IT I investment partnership agreement

IBS has invested RUB 100 million into the Skolkovo Venture Fund managed by Skolkovo Ventures, becoming the first private company to invest in the IT fund.

The fund has a target size of RUB 2.5-3 billion and will invest in Russian start-ups in fintech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), virtual and augmented reality (AR/VR), big data and cybersecurity.

Skolkovo Ventures (Skolkovo-Venture Investment LLC) is an investment platform established in 2017 to attract external financing, manage venture funds, and develop and launch new financial products for fast-growing technology companies.

IBS CEO Svetlana Balanova and Skolkovo-Venture Investment LLC CEO Vasily Belov both participated in the public signing of the agreement on 17th October at the Open Innovation forum at Skolkovo Technopark.

“We consider the partnership with Skolkovo Investment Fund not only as an investment project but also as IBS’s contribution to developing positive conditions for tech entrepreneurship. At the same time, it also gives us another powerful tool to search for promising Russian developments and for digital business,” Svetlana Balanova said about the significance of the project for IBS.
