IBS specialists had implemented information system SAP Advanced Track&Trace for Pharmaceuticals (ATTP), which is now at the core of IT landscape of marking and tracing of pharmaceuticals of JSC “AKRIKHIN”. Additionally, WSO2 EI based integration service bus for automation of the information exchange between IT system of the commercial logistics operator rendering services to pharmaceutical company, ERP-system Oracle EBS, WMS-system, and SAP ATTP have been launched. The project allowed JSC “AKRIKHIN” meeting the drug labeling abd regular reporting regulations of the Russian Federation in successful manner and ahead of schedule.
Main purpose of the project was to ensure meeting of the new legislative requirements of the Russian Federation on compulsory digital marking and tracing of goods in the national system “Chestny ZNAK” by the state authorized operator – “Advanced Technology Development Center” (ATDC).
Aleksey Terentyev, IT Director of “AKRIKHIN” Company, explains: “Marking of pharmaceuticals is introduced for quality control and for counterfeiting of fraud. According to the law, as of October 1 each package must be marked by a unique digital code. Package data is transferred to the unique monitoring system and allows tracing all movements of a pharmaceutical from the manufacturer through pharmacies, medical institutions to the end user or patient”.
In pursuance of the project, IBS specialists have launched SAP ATTP module linking all internal services of JSC “AKRIKHIN” with other market participants, which, in fact, became the serial number management system for consumer package of pharmaceuticals. It ensured integration, rotation, and storage of tens of millions of serial numbers of pharmaceuticals manufactured at own industrial site of “AKRIKHIN” in Staraya Kupavna, as well as at contract sites in Russia, Poland, Turkey, India, Italy, Hungary, and other countries upon delivery of the manufacturing order. Besides, SAP ATTP system became the basis for development of solution for formation and dispatch of reports for the information system for monitoring the movement of pharmaceuticals (IS MDLP) of the State Information System “Marking”.
The project was implemented during 20 months in two stages. The first stage lasted from July 2018 till July 2019 – IBS specialists has formed SAP ATTP based IT landscape of marking and tracing (Track&Trace) meeting the business needs, integrated with the existing multi-vendor IT systems of the company, and has trained staff of JSC “AKRIKHIN” on working with components of such landscape.
The second stage was completed in March 2020: IBS launched integration bus WSO2 EI allowing pharmaceutical company to interoperate with external company – commercial logistics provider (3PL-operator), ERP-system Oracle Е-Business Suite, WMS-system and SAP ATTP. Recently, bus undergoes functional modifications related to turnover of drug products owned by JSC “AKRIKHIN”, but manufactured at the territory and imported from EAEU.
Olga Gorislavets, Head of IBS Project tells: “A number of important business processes of production and logistics of JSC “AKRIKHIN” affected by marking have changed within the project. Generation of serial numbers for own production of pharmaceuticals for the Russian Federation and for foreign partners was configured, integration with crypto service (CPS) for obtainment of crypto codes was performed, transfer and obtainment of the serial numbers to/from partners was automated, transfer of reports and reception of notifications to/from IS MDLP. We secure automated information exchange between JSC “AKRIKHIN” and 3PL operator by specialized messages containing the information on marked goods and warehousing transactions with goods. Testing was repeatedly performed during the project, of which with real users (UAT)”.
Yurii Perestoronin, Director of Consumer Goods Industries, Trade and Agro-Industrial Complex in IBS, tells: “I would like to note that for IBS it was the first marking project so voluminous by number of integrations, we had very interesting and important tasks. We were aiming to create maximum opened information space between IBS and JSC “AKRIKHIN”: we informed all participants on key project events being in constant dialogue with them at each stage. We are quite impressed by slogan of “AKRIKHIN” company – “People care of people”. Thus, our team had done everything possible for launching of SAP ATTP, multiple integrations, working in the context of new business processes as soon as possible, easily and comfortably both for business users and for technical specialists of JSC “AKRIKHIN”.
